Workshops

Birth work is transformative, heart-opening, and—at times—deeply depleting. Doulas hold stories, emotions, and responsibility that often go unseen. This retreat is a space to pause, reconnect, and nourish the person behind the role.

Hosted by Elle Murphy, MSW, LSW, Doula and mom, this experience is designed to support doulas in tending to their own wellbeing while strengthening their skills, community, and sense of purpose. Elle brings her background in social work, trauma-informed care, and hands-on birth and postpartum support to create an environment that feels restorative, grounding, and truly supportive.

What to Expect

A retreat centered on:

  • Reconnection: Return to your “why” and deepen your relationship with the work.

  • Rest + Regulation: Guided practices to help your body and nervous system exhale.

  • Community: Honest conversation with other birth workers who get it.

  • Learning: Workshops on trauma-informed support, boundary setting, and sustainable doula care.

  • Reflection: Space to process the emotional weight of birth work in a safe, nonjudgmental setting.

  • Integration: Tools you can bring back to your clients—and to yourself.

Who It’s For

Doulas of all backgrounds seeking:

  • Renewal and rest

  • Connection with like-minded birth workers

  • A deeper understanding of their role through a trauma-informed lens

  • Support around burnout, boundaries, or emotional load

  • A space to be held after doing so much holding
