Erin Casanova, LPC, NCC
Staff Psychotherapist
Erin’s work is grounded in her passion for women’s mental health and supporting those impacted by gender-based violence. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, focusing on trauma-informed care, women’s wellness, and evidence-based approaches. Her training stems from work at a domestic violence and sexual assault agency, where she provided individual therapy and co-facilitated a survivor support group. The honesty and resilience she witnessed there continue to shape her approach with clients.
She supports single mothers, parents recovering from birth trauma, and birthing people who have felt unheard or dismissed in medical settings. Pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood can surface old wounds, intensify stress, and bring forward unresolved childhood trauma, and this awareness informs each of her sessions.
Guided by an intersectional feminist lens and an attachment-based approach, Erin is trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to help clients process traumatic memories in a focused and manageable way. She honors each person’s story while also recognizing the larger systems and cultural expectations that shape well-being. Drawing from person-centered therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), she helps clients learn how thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations show up in daily life, and supports them in developing coping skills to manage stress, build confidence, and feel more grounded.
Erin feels honored to walk alongside parents during the tender and transformative seasons of pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood. Her goal is to offer a space where clients feel heard, supported, and safe to show up exactly as they are. Reach out to schedule today!
